Baramulla, May 22 (KNO): Government forces on Wednesday launched a cordon and search operation in Kreeri village of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. Reports reaching to KNO said that a joint team of government forces including Army’s 52RR and Jammu and Kashmir Police cordoned all the roads leading to the Kreeri village of Baramulla district. Officials told KNO said that suspected militants are believed to be hiding inside the area. They said door to door search operation was initiated and all the entry and exit points of the village have been sealed. The area continues to be under forces’ siege and there was no exchange of gunfire when this report was being filed. (KNO)
